This is an old mani since I cba with putting the new photos over from the camera :p Yesterday I did a water marble and I'll show you that tomorrow :) I wore this when we celebrated birthdays this year. Me and 2 of my sisters have our birthdays within 5 days in february so we celebrate together with our parents. This was my first attempt at a funky french. Some fingers were a bit off but otherwise I thought it turned out nice. I used those sticker things for french manis from Depend.
The rainbow ring is ofc made with nail polish :p The other one is a fair trade ring that the bf gave me for our 2 year anniversary :)
This is actually what I'm wearing right now, a tape mani I made 2 days ago. I am getting a bit bored with it so it'll come off today. I'm kind of in the mood for a water marble, haven't done one in over a month.
Both polishes are from Depend. The pink one is 34, a really nice pink neon. Love it! The blue is 41, my trusty old blue which I bought way before I started freaking over nail polish :P It's very similar to CG Frostbite so I want to use up the Depend bottle first since it'll probably dry faster.
To create the pattern I cut tape in pointy shapes and I had 3 pieces on each nail. And SV on top ofc.
Today me and my roomies are going to IKEA to buy some stuff for the apartment. Yey :)
A couple of days ago I painted my nails with Sally Hansen - Bronze Ruby which is soo pretty! Unfortunately my bottle is all thick and weird even though I used thinner (or maybe because I don't know). It wouldn't dry even with SV and I bumped it a couple of times. Since it's so pretty I decided the day after to do a tape mani. I had seen a nice tutorial for it at MakeupMyLack http://makeupmylack.blogg.se/2011/july/tape-manicure-tutorial.html#comment My tape didn't really work like hers but the result turned out nice anyway. I just had to be patient while cutting the strips :P I think this is the best tape mani I've done so far :)
The purple is China Glaze - First Class Ticket
Bronze Ruby looks mostly orange/coppery in these pics but it looks red when not in direct light.
There you have it! I think tape manis are so much fun! :) Today a friend is coming over for coffee and the bf starts his vacation. Yey!
For today I have an old mani. It came to be in the same way the blue holo did. I wanted some more use out of it!
Make Up Store Britta and Depend 165. (I think, the numbers on my Depend bottles like to smudge themselves..) I think this was the first time I tried to do something more with tape than just a straight line. I was very pleased with it :)

I thought about this yesterday, the cosmetics that is. I don't really wear make up, unless I'm going out to a party or something. But I guess I can list beauty products as a whole and see how many I get lol.
1. Brow & Liner Kit from The Body Shop - This is my everyday make up = eyebrows! My eyebrows really need filling in to like.. appear :P and when I found this I was very happy. I've never been able to use a pen, it just looks really weird on me. Love this!
2. Body Butter from The Body Shop - Mmm, they smell good. I use it everyday. My current one is Satsuma, it has quite a strong smell albeit a good one. I have another one in store (I got 2 of them for my b-day) which is Pink Grapefruit.
3. Ocean Mist from Proffs - Salt water spray for my hairz. Good for bad hair days!
4. Seche Vite - I don't know how I managed without you for so long!
5-10. Nailpolish. Haha.

Name your favorite color: Red! And also orange. But mostly red. It's the best color.
Name your favorite song: Yikes. I have so many.. But I can say that the most played song on my iTunes is Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird. And it is a very good song indeed!
Name your favorite dessert: Marrängswiss! Which is almost like Banana Split.
What makes you mad? Racism, cruelty to animals. Makes my blood boil.
When you’re upset you… Depends on what I'm upset about. Scream, don't say anything, cry, or maybe all of the above :p
Your favorite pet? Kisse, the greatest cat that ever lived.
Black or white? Depends on what you're gonna use it for. If it's an animal I'd say black. On my nails it would be white since it's nice as a base for nail art :p Your biggest fear is? Well the regular stuff I guess but my phobia is dolls. Boooh!
Your best feature is? If it's feature as in my looks I think my lips, or my shoulders. Haha :) If it's feature as in my personality I think it's that I don't want anyone to feel left out.
Everyday attitude: Well haha, "everything will be alright". In swedish ofc, det ordnar sig! I say this all the time, usually when I have an exam or something and it always is alright in the end. Haha. Also it's a good excuse for not studying that much... Oops!
What is perfection? This photo.
Guilty Pleasure: Candy sometimes. As in only sometimes I feel guilty about it. Haha.
7 random facts about moi
1. I've lived in 6 cities in 2 countries; Sweden and Canada.
2. I lived with the cat mentioned above for 17 of my 23 years. She was the cat love of my life and I still miss her every day.
3. I have 3 older sisters.
4. I was a redhead for many years, now I've had my real hair color for over 2 years and I actually like it again! Altho looking at this pic makes me understand why I had it for so many years! Pic is 3 years old.
5. I've been playing World of Warcraft on and off for 5 years.
6. My favorite movie is Gladiator. I've seen it like 30 times or so.
7. I listen to 2pac all the time. Hit 'em up!
This post looks really weird since I copied stuff and appareantly Blogger doesn't like that boooh! I don't have the energy to try and fix it anymore so you'll have to read it the weird way :S
Last time I went to H&M I accidentally bought 2 polishes. Like they just fell into my hands. I know, weird. Anywho, the first was a Disney polish called Daisy. I thought the bottle was cute and had a good price too. 29 SEK for 13 ml where the regular polishes are 39 SEK for 9 ml.
The application was good and it dried pretty fast :)
Very soothing, two coats.
And then I thought another grey on top would look nice so I taped and painted on Depend 206 :)
Yesterday my best friend came home from 3 months in Spain. And also the sun is kinda sticking out. Happy day :) Toodels!
Yesterday I felt like using something odd so I finally tried a polish from NYC again. Last time I wore it was many years ago (also the only time if I remember correctly) and then I removed it right away because I didn't like it. I don't know if I have more mature taste now (/snicker) or if the polish has changed but I actually like it now. It's also the only brown polish I own so that's kinda fun. It's Sally Hansen - Calming Cocoa.
Also excuse the wrinkles and dents, yesterday was laundry day ;)
I think I need to do something playful with it though, I'm feeling a bit too grown up like this x)
Today is another rainy day. Will they ever end?? -.- So I'm gonna watch a movie now and do some knitting. At least I can hang out inside all day without feeling guilty :P
Another rainy day... I've been wearing the same polish since friday, felt long. Haha. The one I'm gonna post today is an old one like yesterday. I remember doing this one while studying, I needed a little break... Hehe.
The light purple is Mavala Glasgow, the dark one is CG First Class Ticket and the white dots are CG Snow.
Not the sharpest photo in the bunch but you get the hang of it at least :P
I feel this day has the potential for being a real lazy sunday afternoon
(I've got no mind to worry, I close my eyes and drift away
Here we all are sittin in a rainbow)
Btw, does anyone know if there's a way to edit your lable names?
Here's what I did with the pretty blue polish! Cracked it! With Depend Cracked Effect 5002. I really really reeeaaally liked this mani :)
I even wore matching stufs when I went down to fetch my new China Glazes hoho.
The ring I made with CG Frostbite and Depend 54.
The earring is from H&M (modified since I'm allergic to everything but gold).
I've also been baking bread today :) Yummers!
And the last pic I promise.. Today I finished with the Dark Tower-series by Stephen King. Aaah, what shall I do now?? I started with the first book 3 or 4 years ago and I've been reading them since with some pauses and a lot of other books in between. So it feels a bit weird not to have another one to read! Luckily my sister lent me Under the Dome and The Dark Half so I should be okay for a while I guess. Darn you Stephen King for writing such amazing books!
My sister made the bookmark. Yes they know I love rainbows.. :) And also I just realized the print on the covers matches the book cover. /giggle
Today I'm gonna meet a friend who lives in the north of Sweden. I haven't seen her since october so it's gonna be fun :)
This is a color I'm actually wearing right now (altho slightly modified). It's H&Ms U Must Have This. I bought the polish a couple of months ago but haven't used it for a full mani until now. I love it!
One coat! Yey!
This one shows the color a bit better.
Here it is again with the thing that's the reason I haven't been outside since sunday.. But today it's due so then I'm freeeeeee! 8) The summer course I've been taking is about the history of astrology, quite interesting actually :)
Before I applied this polish I cut my nails. I haven't quite gotten used to it yet. They look so small and cute now, haha. Like little blue M&Ms! :D Tomorrow I'll post what I did with the mani :) Toodels!
Since I need to cheer myself up for todays studying I'm gonna post what followed the beer mani :P I think you'll understand why I liked it so much. Also I can't take credit for having the patience to make it, it was done by my roomie :)
Nail polish all over the place I know 8) The base is Sally Hansen Southsea Pearl, which I bought in NYC in the year 2006. I bought maybe 6 or 7 polishes on that trip (including another of the nail prisms, Bronze Ruby). Had I known then what I know now I would've bought the crap out of all the other prisms as well! Haha. And a lot more of the other colors too.. Ah one can always dream.. Darn you americans for having much cheaper polish ;)
Yey this weekend has been a great one. The camping trip was really fun! :D Altho when I had to get up in the middle of the night to use the toilet and thought I heard a wild boar it wasn't as fun haha. It's very easy to mistake someone's snoring for a wild boar in the middle of the dark night I tell ya! I thought I'd post some pix from the mini-trip tomorrow and just show you what I had on my nails while in the nature today :p
It made me think of some button in a spaceship or something :p I just had some fun with my paintbrush and dotting tool. The pink polish is Isadora Flashy Pink which I found at our supermarket for only 20 SEK and also the bottle is an old one so it's about twice the size of the one's you find in the store from new collections. The blue polish is Depend 247, a blue metallic which I have to try stamping with :)
A pic of my desk where I paint my nails. It has little notes and quotes all over. This one is from a really good song; Leonard Cohen - The Partisan. Also I don't know why the spacing is so off after the first pic, hmm. Soon I'll be getting my hands on some candy when my bf gets home from the store. He's a keeper that one! ;)
Hellu! Today me, the bf, the roomie and 3 other friends are going camping. Just one night but I think it'll be a lot of fun :) We're gonna eat some bbq and just have a good time together :)
Todays pic is another old one, I figured I'd get the old pics out of the way. This was the second or third water marble I did with a coat of CG Snow under it and Liquid Leather, Branding Iron and MNY 461 for the marbling.
I liked the thumb and index on the upper picture the most because it reminds me of candy with raspberry & liqourice taste 8) Also water marbling is what my bf suggests when I ask him what I should do with my nails, it's his favourite :)
This is an old mani, from 6-7 months ago but I got to thinking about it and I might as well post it. The reason for the title is that the mani made me think of Heineken or Carlsberg bottles. The nailpolishes are Depend 191 and 225. I like Depend, they are so small and cute and you don't have to feel guilty for buying a lot of them. Haha :)
Then me and the roomie were bored in the middle of the night and the mani evolved.. :p
I actually took that off, maybe the nail art was too crazy for me then hehe. The mani that followed it (the same night) I might show you another day because it is still one of my favourites :)
...was that I thought I should start entering giveaways. I mean why not :) The latest one I've seen is from Nails by Desiré which I thought looked like a lot of fun :) Since blogging about it means one more entry that's what I'm doing. Since I guess noone reads this, (since I started this blog yesterday.. hehe) I don't know how much good it'll do her but I guess it should count all the same.. right? :> Anywho I like the blog and realize I have to start striping since it looks really nice :) The link is as follows: http://nailsbydesire.blogspot.com/2011/07/giveaway.html
I think pix are fun so I'll try and always have one in every post. For today I'm feeling like something cosy, since the weather isn't..
So there, I finally did it. A (new) blog. In english as well. This blog will be my personal space for uploading the works of my creativity which consists of knitting, crocheting and painting my nails (all the colors of the rainbow). I plan on learning how to sew as well since I have my very own sewing machine :)
This blog will probably contain photos that aren't very professional of things that could've been executed more professionally. However it will contain things that I like nonetheless. My other blog that I almost never write on anymore had a picture of a manicure as its first post which I find rather amusing since it was more than 4 years ago and I wasn't that into nailpolish. I will upload that picture into this post as a way of closing the circle. Enough of my rambling.
Yes I have a habit of painting all over my fingers, I find it somewhat charming even tho I don't do it nearly as much as I used to. To quote myself "it all goes away with a shower" haha :)
