Another two-toned.

Sometimes I just need to make a lot of different versions of the same tape mani... This is what I've been wearing the last couple of days.

The light purple is Gabrini - M110 and the darker is Color Club - Disco Dress + SV. I used hole reinforcers as usual for this look.

I think a light and dark green should be next. Or perhaps pink.. or orange. Red... I'll just have to try them all! :)

I hope you all had a lovely easter. I've been snuggling with my niece who's just the cutest little baby ever! :) I'm already looking forward to the next time I see her.

Just wanted to share a few pics the bf took a couple of weeks ago. Our first trip to our local outdoors museum this year :) I'm betting some horse lover will appreciate them! ;)

First off, I met my furry black friend again. Cuddly :)

This is a real horse. Too bad there isn't an english word for "redig". Cuz that's what this horse is, redig.

The horses were happy and we even got to see all five galopping around :) The little one was especially happy!

She's so cute!

From may last year. It's pretty cool to have seen this little one grow! :)

Day of DIY # 37. Blocking.

This is my weeks contribution to Husmorsskolans Syförening. I'm finished with a project but need sunlight to do it justice in pics! So next week.. :p

I'm crocheting a blanket for myself. It will take some time since I only do a square here and there, and they're quite big. Anyways, here's what they look like when they're done (kinda wonky).

My mom gave me this blocking board for christmas. It's really easy to use for these squares :)

Lookit, straight! :) I'm blocking as I finish them so I won't have to do all that when the assembly comes :)

Smoothies part 2.

Time for another smoothie. I'm kind of obsessed. And this weekend we bought a blender so I'll get even more smoothie-nerdy! Since it's so healthy I'll just carry on! ;)

I usually put milk in my smoothies but one morning we were out, and I was like "needs mah smoothie!" and went rummaging in the cupboards. I founds some coconut milk and thought what the heck! This smoothie also contained two peach halves (canned peach is the shizzle for smoothies! Just rinse of the sugary water :)), juice from a blood orange (yum!), two kiwis, some ice and a banana.

Fruit is so pretty.

Mix and enjoy! If you don't like coconut milk this is probably not for you, but if you do then it's a tasty one :)

The base is two coats of Gabrini - M107 and the darker one is Gina Tricot - Petrol + SV.

This one is more color accurate. Two toned manis are really nice :)

Day of DIY # 36. Green baby sweater.

Just a quick post for this weeks Husmorsskolans Syförening.

A sweater for my niece/nephew who will be joining us in the summer! I used this pattern (for the third time!), size 0-3 months. The yarn is from Klippans Yllefabrik (yes I love those yarns). The color is more vivid IRL but I was short for time since I was going to hand it over and had forgotten to take pics oops.

Hopefully next week I'll be finished with another knit I'm very excited about! :)

I had some time and energy this weekend and made some nail art. Finally.

The base is two coats of A England - Lady of the Lake. Then I added two hole reinforcers per nail and A England - Camelot + SV.

And we had sun all weekend :) I like this shape and that it's made from hole reinforcers, which are so easy to use! I already made another mani like this with different polishes :]

Smoothies part 1.

I haven't really been in a blogging mood lately. Also, I've painted my nails twice the past week. Plain colors, no nail art. But I have some old material just waiting to be blogged about. Since I love smoothies, I've been meaning to do some posts about that. It might also make me try even weirder combos heh. This is part one with two smoothies.

This fall we wanted to branch out with our cooking and bought some pumpkins. This is a butternut squash. First time be bought one we used it for soup (yum). I also saw a recipe for pumpkin smoothie, so I wanted to try that!

Follow these instructions and get the pumpkin puree. Pretty!

I'm not 100% sure what I put in it but I'm guessing a banana, 2 ice cubes, milk and the puree. Oh and some cinnamon. A different tasting smoothie, but yummy!

Here's a pretty green one. We had some baby spinach leaves left over so I thought why not throw it in my smoothie? This one was my regular with 2 peach halves, a banana, milk, 2 ice cubes and juice from one orange. Plus the spinach. Which didn't leave any taste, just made it healthier :)

Any smoothie tips? What's your favorite one?

International women's day.

Today is a special day. And especially for me since I'm going to meet my niece for the first time today (iih!). We're gonna be three generations of women together. That's pretty cool!

This is a Hönsestrikk skirt my mom made me when I was 11 or 12 years old. As I've just started on a little knit with multi colored patterns I'm even more in awe of how great this one is. Also, that my mom made it for me! I thought it would be a nice picture for today :)

And since it is the 8th of March I think it's only fair that I brag about my mom some more. Here's a cardigan she made me last year. It's 100% wool and the only thing that can really keep me warm the whole day in my freezing school :)

Day of DIY # 35. Dance belt.

Finally I'm on board for Husmorsskolans Syförening again :) Here's something I did a couple of weeks ago at my moms!

A tassle-y dance belt :)

Wool yarn from Klippans Yllefabrik and a bit of fabric left over from another project. Oh, and a thrifted button :)

First Mate times two.

Here are two tape manis I did with the same polish. It's fun to mix and try different combos. Depending on the base color the result can look very different :)

Here's another loud one. The base is two coats of China Glaze - Surfin' for Boys. Then I added hole reinforcers and China Glaze - First Mate.

This is two coats of Color Club - Emerald Depths (lurve it), hole reinforcers and First Mate + SV. I really liked this one :)

First Mate is great for tape manis \o/

I've come down with a cold, which is really a bummer since the sun has been out this weekend. I've been on the couch watching insane amounts of TV but at least getting some knitting done ;) Anyways, it kinda sucks since school is super busy right now -.- A help in recovering has been this...

My new amazing bed linens. Omg. My mom gave me these, obviously she's a great mom! I can't look at these without smiling :) Happy happy!

What do you do when you have 16 meshes (?) of yarn? You unwind the rainbow colors first. Duh.

I'm feeling better today so hopefully I'll be restored next week :) Here's to really really sweet tea ;P
