I found this polish for 10 SEK at H&M a few weeks ago. How could I resist?

This is one (!) coat of H&M - Miss Stone Heart. I can see great tape potential for this one :) It's a pretty soothing color and I'm loving the formula.

I felt it needed something more so I sponged on some A England - Merlin + SV. Kind of unusual for me with such a discreet mani but I liked it :)

Trying something new.

I got some Barry Ms as a gift from London about a week ago and thought it'd be nice to have them all in one post :) G, this one's for you!

First up is two coats of Barry M - Cyan Blue + Seche Vite. It was easy to apply and dried pretty fast :) Also, it's a really happy and nice color!

Then I applied one coat of Barry M - Nail Effects 321 and another coat of SV. It's a shimmery golden crackle. This turned out to be quite the swedish mani lol. I think a gold crackle will be nice over lots of colors so I'm glad I now have one :)

Two coats of Barry M - Red Glitter + a coat of regular top coat. It's red glitter (lots of it!) in a clear base. It's a shame there wasn't any sun when I had this one because it was really sparkly!

Over that I added Barry M - Nail Effects 311 + another coat of regular top coat. I loved this look! It reminded me of lavas and dinosaurs lol. This crackle has my favorite pattern yet. The pieces turned out really small which I liked.

There you have it, a mini Barry M review. It seems like a really nice brand from the ones I've tried now :)

Lavender holo.

This is the last of the Legends I had to swatch and photograph. And it's as pretty as all the rest!

Two coats of A England - Princess Tears. Lavender purple holo with a similar duochrome as Ascalon. I didn't get a lot of photos of this but you get the idea I hope!

Here's what it looks like without the holo. I like it like this as well! Sorry about the unfocused pic o.O And there was no sun around either booh!

Anyways, to conclude: this is an awesome collection. I've got all except Order of the Garter but I'm guessing that one is pretty cool as well ;P I've seriously gasped a little with the first stroke of paint of all of these polishes because they were even prettier than I expected! :)
In my next post I will try another brand from the UK which is new to me. Exciting! :>

Chelsea Girl.

Here's a color that was a bit hard to photograph accurately... These pics are the closest I got.

Three coats of Color Club - Chelsea Girl + SV. Looks like there is some VNL in the pics but it wasn't visible IRL. It dries darker which was kind of a bummer for me.

It's a pretty color (and bottle since it's from the Pride collection ;)) but I'm not all that when it comes to three coaters... Ah well, I know it's good for marbling at least :>

Shimmery purple.

Here's another untried polish that you swedish peeps can find at ÖB :)

Two coats of L'ovie - 34 + Seche Vite. It's a really warm purple with some pretty shimmer :) Application and drying time was fine. I think this is a pretty and flattering purple :)

Holo tape mani with bling.

The bf's birthday was a couple of days ago and I wanted to make a really pretty mani for that special occasion :) Behold!

My favorite mani yet! :) With flash.

It's the previous mani (Milani - Hi-Tech) and A England - Dragon. I also added some rhinestones. I did this on both hands and wore it for three whole days!

Another flash pic since I liked it so much! I did it too early in the day to get sun pics tho :/

Bling bling and sparkle :)
Also, I just have to say why do they change everything all the time? This new blogger seems really annoying and not at all as good as the previous version /sigh.

Green holo.

Now I've swatched all of my Milani 3Ds. Until I get the last two that is! ;)

Three coats of Milani - Hi-Tech + SV. Flash pic. It's a goldish green color with lots of sparkle! :)

It's a bit more vibrant in the shade than in this photo.

Day of DIY # 2.

I thought it was time for some more DIY. And like I said it will be foodz 8)

I have a sensitive scalp and have been thinking that I should be nice to it so when my hair felt a bit dry I decided to make a hair mask myself. The natural way :) Turkish yoghurt, coconut oil, honey and lime. Mixed it and applied it with a food brush lol. I've only used it once but I should do it again to see if I get some nice results lol. Anyways it smells really nice :)

A monday while making dinner I felt the need to bake :S I like sponge cakes so I made one but wanted to mix it up so I added berries I had in the freezer, lime juice and fresh peppermint. Yum!

I fell in love with this idea so me and the bf made some tea as a gift :) Here's a pic of apple and lime peels drying in the oven.

Sewing tea bags lol.

They turned out really cute! It's a nice and personal gift and fun to do as well :)

Last but not least we made this lemon merengue pie but with a cheesecake bottom (crushed Digestive crackers) instead of the pie. Deeeelish! Need to make that one again... Drool.

Been making something tasty lately?
Also, some of these fancy pics were taken by the bf. He's sneaking around back stage on this blog :)

This was the last Isadora to be swatched and photographed. Woop woop! I'm getting closer at having the whole stash on pics 8) It helps that I haven't been buying polish like a crazy person lately :)

Two coats of Isadora - Star Glaze + SV. Should've used three but I was a bit short for time. Anyways, it's easy to apply (although I did a messy job lol) and dries pretty fast. It looks softer than a regular silver metallic polish. Although when there are so many metallics that cover in one coat this seems like a bum deal lol. But it's pretty! And discreet, if that's what you're into ;)

Funnier stuff coming up I promise :>

It was time to test another untried Isadora. And this was the only one left that I had never worn.

Two coats of Isadora - Copper Bronze + SV. I could've used three coats but I was going to cover it with crackle anyways so.

It's a pretty copper color but it would look better if I was tan. Maybe good for a pedi in the summer? :)

Something new for me.

I finally got my magnetic polish from Born Pretty Store. I was getting worried it was lost or something but no :) I didn't get any good pics but I'll show you one at least. I'll definitely be using this again and have a steadier hand when I do it lol.

Two coats of LiangQiEr - L-005 (I think, that's what it says underneath at least..) + SV. When I opened the parcle I thought "oh no did they send me a crackle?" I don't know what's up with the cap but it is a magnetic :P I really like it, it is in fact a red shimmer ;) But beware, it smells a lot lol!

The bf wondered what it would look like layered over a really light polish. I'll have to try that :)

Gorgeous green.

Here's the last of the A Englands that I got from the bf. Don't worry though, according to my mailbox, three more are on their way. Oops. Well they were 30% off :)

This is two coats of A England - Saint George + SV. Flash pic. This is soooo pretty!

I love that these are really pretty without the holo as well since you know, this is Sweden and whatnot. Can't depend all that much on the sun ;)

But we got some this weekend! :) I'm so glad I got these polishes!

Sometimes you have the energy to do a proper tape mani. And it feels good! ;P Even when it bleeds a little and what not.

I already had on A England - Bridal Veil. Taped it off and added a coat of Color Club - Hot Like Lava. SV and then more tape and a coat of China Glaze - Rodeo Fanatic (we still in love you know). + SV! Sunlight!

In the shade.

Sparkly black.

Here's another holo polish. The sun has shown itself a bit lately and when I did I rushed to use my A Englands :P

One coat (!) of A England - Bridal Veil. Pretty scattered holo in a black base.

I like it in the shade as well :) Nice formula and drying time as well with this one.

I hope everyone had a nice easter! Feels a bit weird going back to work after five days off but I've had a really nice couple of days so it's all good :)

Glad Påsk!

Happy Easter everyone! Here's my easter mani. I was thinking about doing a lot of nail art but I didn't have the time or energy so I ended up with this instead. It's still pretty and easter-y ;P

Of course they are purple and yellow :)

I painted every other nail purple with two coats of Color Club - Disco Dress and one coat of Milani - Hi-Res. The yellow nails have two coats of Color Club - Almost Famous and one coat of China Glaze - Lighthouse + SV.

Bling bling!

Time for a walk!

Saturday, April 7, 2012

I wanted to spice my mani up on the second day. You know, the usual feeling lol.

I added one coat of Isadora - Black Tag over Color Club - Hot Like Lava + SV. The crackle shrank the other polish as well and left some bald spots -.- Maybe because there was only one coat? I dunno.

I really liked this combo. I may have to get another black crackle since I only have this small bottle. And it's the crackle I've used the most.

I found it!

I bought this polish a while ago and when I used it for a tape mani I suspected it might be the one. As in the one to replace this one that I don't have that much left of. I don't think they're total dupes (the other is more silvery) but they're close enough for me :)

One coat of Color Club - Hot Like Lava. Pretty pink foil.

Love it!

Gonna eat some easter foodz today at my mom's woop woop :)
What do you eat for easter in your country/family? :) Would be fun to hear.

Day of DIY # 1.

I've been feeling all craftsy lately and thought I'd make a new category on the blog where I collect all my DIYs :) I'm calling it Day of DIY.

I wanted to use this empty body butter jar but it felt a bit boring.. So I found this awesome tape at TGR. Three rolls for 10 SEK, yes please! Since I wanted a pretty photo on it I chose one of this beauty. Rainbow cat! <3

I needed something to protect my sunglasses and crocheted this from some left over acrylic yarn.

But it didn't really feel 100% me so I made this one instead and sew on a zipper as well. Perfect! :)

Crocheted a necklace...

And two bracelets.

Button courtesy of Denmark (it's one of their coins).

A taste of what I've been up to :) Next time I'll post some foodz!

Unexpected color.

Last week or so I felt the need to paint my nails in a discreet color. Apparantly even I have those days ;P I had an untried that fit the bill so here it is!

This is three coats of Isadora - Bridal Rose + SV. Another supermarket find :) It's just a sheer and really light pink with some shimmer.

I bought it since I needed a polish for french manis. So I guess I'll be using it again in that function.

Since I've been all craftsy the last week I'll post something more colorful next time ;)

sir Stamps-a-Little.

I like cheesy titles if you haven't noticed. Anyways, I practised my stamping a bit so I thought I'd post those pics. I've gotten a little better at it but I need more practise!

E.L.F. - Metal Madness stamped with (I think) Depend - 223.

A England - Princess Sabra stamped with Depend - 262.

Milani - Cyberspace stamped with China Glaze - First Mate.

I also need to figure out which of my polishes (except for the metallics) that are good for stamping.
I've had a real DIY week. I'll get some pics up soon :) Now I need to order some A Englands before the sale is over lol.
