Day of DIY # 60. Raglan, for me.

There was a sneak peak of this creation a while back. I finished it 1,5 weeks ago and the bf took really nice photos of it the day after when we went to his parents to eat. We talked about how our city is nice for photographing things since there are so many different types of environments (city, ocean, forest and so on). In conclusion, I need to make more stuff for myself and take cool pics! ;) It was a lot of fun and nice to spend some quality time together :) A couple of these are edited as well by the bf. Photographing/editing as practise for school for him + getting sweet pics of something I've made for me = win-win. Here are some (a lot) pics. This is also my contribution for Husmorsskolans Syförening.

Wearing three home made (by me no less) items all at once <3

Raglan sweater from a Knitters magazine, modified tho. I also had to redo the yoke after finishing the sweater and realising it was too tight in the armpits. Oops. Anyways, it turned out well the second time.

The multi colored yarn is Raggi (80% wool, 20% acrylic) and the black is a very soft 100% wool that my mom actually bought me 12-15 years ago when I was going to knit a vest. Thanks mom! Sometimes I'm just a bit slow in the start ;)

The idea for the bottom is borrowed from the cuffs of this sweater (which deserves a post with better pics). Kinda want that design on all my things now...

I'm happy with this sweater. So happy I almost cast on for another one! With a looser fit, longer sleeves and some other details. Any day now! Who knew knitting adult sized stuff would be so much fun!? ;D

  1. Härlig tröja och fina bilder!

  2. Tröjan är ju bara super!

  3. Wow - I am super impressed! I can't knit anything, much less a sweater, great job!

  4. Oj,så fin! Den här hade jag också helt missat, men hur det svarta balanserar det mångfärgade, och särskilt avslutningen, var ju jättesnyggt. Och vilka bra bilder!
