Black and white gradient.

Hellu!
After I did the blueish gradient I got a better idea so that one only stayed on for an hour or so lol.

Behold!

I started out with two coats of China Glaze - Snow on the index, middle and pinky. Then I sponged on China Glaze - Liquid Leather and E.L.F. - White so I got a bit of a gradient. The thumb and ring have two coats of China Glaze - Some Like It Haute. SV on all of 'em.

This was a preeetty cool mani if I may say so myself, but it looked cooler IRL. Ah well.

Sponging and glitter.

Hellu!
Here's another sponged mani.

I started with a base of two coats of Color Club - Emerald Depths. Then I sponged on H&M - U Must Have This on three nails and two coats of Revlon - Radiant (Scotland find!) on the other two. + some SV ofc.

Didn't get any great pics of this one but you get the idea. I also think I like sponged manis to be closer in finish. These are metallic and creme. Looked a bit weird. The glitter is fun at least :)

Ever so subtle sponging.

Hellu!
I've been on a sponging kick lately :)

This is two coats of Milani - Digital and then I sponged that one + China Glaze - Ahoy! on top. + SV. The gradient effect was more visible IRL.

Subtle, but pretty :)

Day of DIY # 13.

Hellu!
Finally some more DIY 8)

*Edit* Klockarbarn is having an upcycling challenge and I thought it'd be fun to join in. The goal is to have something upcycled every monday. Here's the link!

Here's an almost entirely upcycled necklace I made a while ago. The string is 3 different flax/cotton+flax yarns. My mom bought one of the yarns for me, the other two were thrifted and I found the keys at my granddads. It's crocheted.

I named this piece "Keymaster" because I thought it sounded cool and I'm kind of nerdy like that ;) Still, it fits.

I'm really pleased with Keymaster, it's one of my favorite things that I've made so far! :)

Finally, a marble.

Hellu!
Since I'm back in school now, I have a feeling my nails will increase in prettyness ;) Here's a marble I did about a week ago!

Marbled with China Glaze - Foxy, Isadora - Black Rose & A England - Princess Sabra. It felt okay to marble with a holo since that one's probably my least favorite to wear just as it is. It worked great for marbling but we didn't expect anything else from that brand now did we? ;)

I really liked how the thumb turned out! Kind of reminds me of some galaxy nail or whatnot.

The right hand came out much better. Look at that pretty holo bling! :)

Swirly!

Marbling is fun! Now I want to do more holo marbles... :)

First Essie.

Hellu!
I got my first Essie polish from G :)

This is two coats of Essie - Wicked. Easy application and drying time, altho the brush is huge compared to what I'm used to. It looks a bit streaky here but that wasn't visible IRL. It's a nice vampy polish :)

This is what it looked like with one coat. For some reason I liked this look and could've worn it like this if not for wanting a proper swatch on the blog. Weirdo! Lol.

Sparkly half moons.

Hellu!
I wanted something a bit more fun for a dinner with some co workers a couple of weeks ago. Since I still need to try a lot of combos with the half moons I went for that ;)

Three coats of Barry M - Silver Multi Glitter, tape, one coat of Isadora - Black Rose + SV. Look at that gorgeous dark red shimmer, yum!

I like mixing finishes with tape manis :)

Silver sparkle.

Hellu!
I expanded my little Barry M collection with two polishes when we went to Scotland. Here's the first of them.

This is three coats of Barry M - Silver Multi Glitter. What a fantastic name :p It was easy to apply and dried fast :)

Sparkly! It's mostly silver glitter but there are some other colors in there as well which makes it more special I think :) Removal was ok also.

Greeny green.

Hellu!
This is the other polish I got from one of my sisters.

This is three coats of Face Stockholm - ??. No name on the bottle. Dried pretty fast.

It's a nice green, the nail line wasn't as visible IRL.

Purple and blue indeed.

Hellu!
Here's the other Models Own I got in Scotland.

This is three coats of Models Own - Purple Blue. Application was easy but I disapprove of polished that need three coats...

I like the sparkle of the blue in the dark purple base but that wasn't all to visible. Can't win all the time :p

Grey and blue half moons.

Hellu!
Thanks to Nageldraken I found out that you can buy hole reinforcers at Biltema so the next time we went there I got me some! :) For those of you who don't know, they are used to make half moon manis tape style! :)

The base is Models Own - Indian Ocean and the blue is China Glaze - Rodeo Fanatic + SV.

It's a nice look and a great way to switch the taping up ;) The stickers are really easy to use as well, more so than regular tape.

Are you going running to Biltema now? ;)

Grey and pink duochrome.

Hellu!
Here's a polish I got in Scotland. My first Models Own, bought at Boots.

This is one coat (I think) of Models Own - Indian Ocean over one coat of H&M - Miss Stone Heart (loveonecoatersforevah). The color is a bit hard to describe. Greyish base with a pink flash?

The pink flash was more visible IRL. Lookit the bottle! Purdy.

Day of DIY # 12.

Hellu!
I haven't had a DIY post in a while so that's what's up for today :) When I was working I made a smoothie in the morning and brought that to work as my second breakfast. I eat breakfast at 6-6.30 and lunch isn't til 12 so I need something in between. I really like smoothies but I wanted something that was easier to bring when school starts so I experimented a little with some kind of bar ;p

I read a little on the web to see how it could be done and bought some dried fruit (no sugar added). Here you can see the ingredients. Hazelnuts, oatmeal, honey, coconut oil, dried figs and apricots, pumpkin-, sunflower- and flax seeds, goji berries, shredded coconut and some oil.

In you go! Mix it up.

Then I spread it out and poured some more shredded coconut on top to make it a bit less sticky. I didn't bake these. Half of what I made went in the fridge and then I put the rest in the freezer (after cutting them into bar-y pieces lol). I had mine in the fridge for several weeks and thought they held up nicely :) No conservatives there! And they taste good :)

Have you tried making your own bars? Next time I want to try making them a bit more salty by adding peanuts :)

Yellow and green leopard.

Hellu!
I felt I should do some non tape nail art so I don't totally forget how lol. I've been meaning to do a water marble for like ever but I didn't have the time or energy so I went for something easy but still fun. Leopard print! :)

Base is Face Stockholm - eemh yellow and the green dots are with the other Face Stockholm polish I got from my sister (no name for that one either) :) The black is A England - Camelot + SV to smoooth it out.

Bright and fun :)

Do you like leopard print? If so, traditional or these fantasy leopards? :P

Dancing.

Hellu!
This weekend the place where we dance had an open house (don't really know what that's called in english?) so we were there to show people what we do. American Tribal Style. Here's a post I did about that. The bf came by to take pics. Here are some of me dancing away (altho it kinda looks like I'm standing still... -.-)! ;)

When we're practising we don't wear this much decorations so it was fun to get dressed up :)

Looking at these pics I feel like making lots of tribaly pieces. I'm going to make a belt, this one is borrowed from my mom. It's pretty darn cool!

This was actually the first time I've danced for an audience, even though it was a really small one :P I had a great time :) Gotta love improvising! :D

Yellow creme.

Hellu!
Yellow cremes are usually a streaky mess. Why that is, I have no idea. It just seems yellow pigment is some evil thing that won't flow smoothly. Anyways. I got this polish from one of my sisters and tried it out. The formula was quite good actually. Color me surprised ;P

This is two coats of Face Stockholm - ??. (There was no number or name on the bottle.) I thought it looked pretty good and I didn't use a top coat :) Another nice thing about this polish is that all the ingredients are listed on the bottle.

I did some nail art on this one as well so I'll show you that later :)

Purple holo aka sister of Tristam.

Hellu!
A real swatch of this beauty.

Two coats of A England - Lady of the Lake. Flash. Rich dark purple holo. Blingarific!

Pretty in the shade as well.

Gah, I sure do like 'em A Englands.

Scotland # 3.

Hellu!
The last of the vacation pics.

We took a train to Nairn. Taking pics with self timer and a tele zoom lens like a baws!

Walked over to the beach. Really nice sandy beach. Although it didn't seem all that warm in the water :p

We do like the self timer ;)

Another pretty view from a bridge.

On our way back.

Back in Inverness. This cat was chilling at a garden supply store. He was cute and cuddly!

Sometimes the bf thinks I'm crazy. Mwahaha! In my defense, some of the things were gifts... :> Look at my new knitting needles in the right corner. Sooo pretty :D

There you have it folks. It was a great trip :) I thought I was going to find a lot of loose leaf tea but it seems that's not very popular in Scotland. I bought some tea bags anyways :>
