I seem to marble quite often.

I did another water marble this weekend. The pics don't do it any justice. Imagine them being ten times brighter! These nails got some attention since they're kind of in your face :P I didn't get too many great pics of them but you can imagine the rest ;)

Right hand. The colors mixed on the little finger -.-

Left hand.

For this marble I used Color Club - Raspberry Rush, China Glaze - Kiwi Cool-Ada, Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Towel Boy Toy & Sun Worshipper + SV. (I should get the last ones from the Poolside collection ;))

I've tried marbling with these before but they don't work all that well. I don't know if it's because they're neons or something. Anyways it turned out fun at least :) I can't wait for summer to rock these polishes by themselves as well!

Holo crack-a-lack.

For some reason I covered the holo with some crackle. Sometimes you should leave nice things alone. But this looks pretty nice too :P Also I got it in my head to try and watermark (?) my pics since I felt I had been reading about people stealing stuff a lot recently. This blog isn't big but I thought I'd try it anyways. It doesn't really affect my designs tbh.

Depend - 5002 over Milani - Hi-Res + SV.

This is my favorite crackle because it has shimmer. It adds a lot of depth to it I think :)

Totally bothered by the little text in the pics? I hope not ;)

Purple holo.

I really like my Milani 3Ds. I should get the two I don't have as well :> They're affordable and easy to come by so why not ;)

Two coats of Milani - Hi-Res. Application is nice and it dries fast :)

I can't wait for summer to get here! This year I have a lot more holos to enjoy :)

There's actually some sun out today so me and the bf are going for a walk :)

The forgotten marble.

Here's another water marble I did that crazy weekend when I did three of 'em! This one was the one I liked the least and that's probably why I've forgotten about it for so long :P Altho it was a bit nicer IRL.

All Isadoras; Turqouise, Copper Bronze & Star Glaze.

The copper kind of looks like sand. Hmm. Can't win every time ;)

They look really pretty in the bottles at least lol.

Darn purples, so hard to photograph.

These pics are probably way off and all that lol. The camera doesn't really like photographing this type of purple shade. But I got it in my head that I want swatches of all my polishes on the blog :P

Two coats of H&M - Purple In Paris (weird name lol) + SV I think. Application was so and so. It turned out a bit streaky when it dried, should have done three coats. Anyways this photo is the most color accurate I think. I didn't like the color all that much. Pretty but not very special. Maybe I'm not a creme person :P

Then I did this the day after :) Tape, China Glaze - First Class Ticket, rhinestones and SV. The b-day mani was a second take on this one. I'm glad I've started to use my rhinestones a bit more, they're pretty nice! :)

Checkers, sort of.

Here's what I did with my Valentine's mani (Ruby Pumps) the day after.

Tape and China Glaze - Dorothy Who? + SV.

It was a bit weird to look at. Glitter overload and contrasting colors or something :P

I switched color for the other hand and used H&M - Kiss Goodnight + SV. Turned out much better!

Twas a pretty fun mani :)

B-day mani!

My birthday was yesterday (I'm 24 now zomg) but I didn't turn on the computer so I'm posting it today instead :) I had a cosy evening at home with the bf. We made a nice dinner and dessert and watched Fringe. And he told me what I'll be getting. I get to pick out five A-England polishes :O Woho! He is pretty awesome that one for coming up with the idea and everything :) He really listens to all my nail polish babbling (which recently consisted a lot of the Legends) :D So sweet.

B-day mani! One coat of China Glaze - Life Preserver, striping tape and a coat of MNY - 665, a little rhinestone and SV.

I really liked this mani :) Also, winter? Can you leave and take my frazzle dazzle cuticles with you? Thanks in advance.

A new technique.

This is a craftsy post. No nail polish ;) I was at my mom's house yesterday with some people from the dance group to have some craftsy fun 8) What we did is called brickbandsvävning in swedish and I think tablet weaving in english. It was a lot of fun! At my intern place I need a key thingie to get in all the doors so I made a ribbon for that.

It's made from flax yarn (omg so funny that's what it's called in english! Lin in swedish..)

Here's the whole thing on my desk lamp :P

Now that I know how to do it I have to make some more... :)

I wanted to try my new flakie so I layered it over the previous mani (H&M - Kiss Goodnight).

One coat of Barielle - Elle's Spell over the charcoal grey + SV. It reminded me of Orly - Fowl Play. Pretty!

It was hard to photograph but here you can see what it looked like most of the time. I need to try it over a light color as well :)

I'll post what I did yesterday in a separate post :)

Sparkly grey.

Without further ado since I'm a bit tired and need to play some WoW 8) hehe:

Two coats of H&M - Kiss Goodnight + SV. Flash.

Natural light. It's a nice charcoal grey with some sparkle :) Easy to apply and dried pretty fast as well.

Mimmi Pigg.

Mimmi Pigg is Minnie Mouse in swedish. I bought her polish at H&M for 10 SEK on sale. I also have Daisy, and those are the only ones that I know of. It was hard photographing it though. In the bottle I thought it was more of a coral polish but it's mostly just pink.

Probably a bit warmer tone than in this picture. I did two coats and they dried pretty fast. Application was nice and easy.

Excuse the tip wear, I took this photo when I got home since there was some sun (I know shocking!).

Here it is in direct sunlight. I think the color is probably a mix of my three photos :P I liked wearing it which was good since I wasn't feeling myself and had the same polish on for 6 (!) days.

Alla hjärtans dag.

I think the swedish name for Valentine's Day is much prettier! Alla hjärtans dag means "every heart's day". Me and the bf went out for dinner and then came home and spent the rest of the evening watching Fringe in bed :) I painted my nails in the morning and wanted to have something festive. I managed to find something pretty and untried yey!

China Glaze - Ruby Pumps, two coats + SV. I'm sorry my pics do you no justice!

This is so pretty and sparkly IRL :)

The bf snuck around and went to the store without me on monday. When I got up and went to my computer yesterday these were on my desk. I'm not really the flowery type but I thought it was really sweet and I wasn't expecting it at all :) :*

I hope everyone had a nice alla hjärtans dag and that today is a nice day as well ;)

Party mani.

I added some sponging to the holo since I was going out with some girlfriends and wanted a little more bling :)

Shade. The sponging was done with H&M - Kiss Goodnight and a coat of TC after that. I sponged on some Milani - Digital (that's the base) to make it more gradient and sparkly.

With flash. Sparkly.

Pink holo.

Sometimes you just need some extra rainbow in your life.

Two coats of Milani - Digital. Smooth application, nice drying time.

It's a really pretty pink with (more than shows on my pics) scattered holo. Yum.

Color and creativity pt 2.

There's some shit (pardon my french) going down at the moment so I'm not totally in the mood for posting and stuff but I thought I'd at least share this. I found some really cheap white towels on sale (19 SEK) and ofc had to buy them for tie dying! They're meant for guests (that's what it says on them in red) but I like the size so no guests will be using these ;p

I thought this turned out really cool. I dyed them turquoise first without tying them and then I tied and did the darker blue.

This is the best thing I've done so far! It's really awesome :) The colors and print make me think of Greece. Blue and white and the color of the ocean or something.

I also did a shirt and some more towels, I'll show you that some other day.

Silly name, amazing polish.

Today I have a polish that I ordered after seeing some swatches from Nailtastic. Her photos are more accurate than mine, so check them out as well :) I had a hard time photographing this one. Basically, it's gorgeous!

Two coats of Orly - Rococo A Go-Go. Effortless application, nice drying time.

Why you so pretty?? This polish is what I wanted this one to be. I'm so happy I got it :)

Time for some World Of Warcraft, it's Valentine's Day ;)

Another day, another marble.

Here's one of the water marbles I did last weekend. I've mostly water marbled with my China Glazes but I thought I should give the Isadoras a go as well since I have a few of them and there's plenty of polish in them :)

The marbling was done with Isadora - Jaded, Turquoise & Spellbound Black. I thought it lacked something so when I was done I put a coat of Color Club - Si Vous Please over it.

I didn't get a lot of great pics of this but you get the idea at least. I was a bit bummed that Spellbound looked so grey. Ah well.

Right hand. I wish all fingers had turned out more like the index and thumb on this hand. But that's also the charm with marbles, you never know what you're gonna get ;P

That was all for today! I'm waiting on a package with SV and I can't wait because I've been out for a long time and I miss it for tape and sponge manis. I hope I get it next week so I can do some more nail art! :)

I was tagged by Theodora for a pretty extensive tag :P I'm supposed to tag 11 people and come up with new questions for them but I have no idea who's already been tagged so I'm gonna cheat and just say that I'm tagging everyone who hasn't done this one. Consider yourselves tagged! If you want to know the proper rules here they are.

First I'm supposed to list 11 facts about myself (yikes!)
  1. If anyone has missed it, I love cats! Like, a lot.
  2. While writing this post I'm also playing WoW 8)
  3. I'm afraid of zombies, but I also really like them. It's weird lol. I often say "I should learn how to do that if there's a zombie invasion" and stuff to that effect. Like learning to drive lol.
  4. My hair length (before I cut it at least) is the longest I've ever had.
  5. I've been in love for 3,5 years.
  6. I love food. Eating it, talking about it, thinking about it, making it. You name it ;)
  7. My favorite tv-show is Oz. But the one I quote the most and grew up with is the Simpsons.
  8. Speaking of such, the movie I quote the most is Men In Tights. Or perhaps The Party. They're awesome.
  9. My favorite color is red, after that it's orange. Also I really love rainbows :>
  10. I think all of my hair is my natural color now which has taken me a while. I colored it all the time between about 2002-03 until 2008. Now I like it the way it is :)
  11. I had a hard time coming up with facts about myself lol.
And then there were 11 questions to answer about myself
  1. Do you have a set up for taking pictures, if so what is it?
No, not really. I hold the bottle and try a few different lightings. If there's sun out I take some in the window as well.
  2. How often do you give yourself a manicure?
I change the whole mani every 2 or 3 days I think. Sometimes I change it up without removing it by adding something with tape or sponging.
  3. Do you share or talk about your blog with people in your life/in public to people?
Only to the bf :S I don't know why but I like having it to myself. A bit weird perhaps :P
  4. What was the first blog you started reading - did you realize how many nail bloggers there were?
It was a swedish blog called Lillasysters naglar but I can't read it anymore since there is a PW now. I think the second one was Nailtastic and then I snooped around on her blogroll to find other blogs. Then I found Colette on youtube I was pretty much hooked. I mean she made a double rainbow water marble. How awesome is that! ;) That's how I got into watching videos as well :)
  5. How long have you been into nails?
I've always liked painting my nails but I haven't always done it. Freakishly into nails I've been since around summer 2010.
  6. What's your biggest tip for nail beginners - if you are one, what is the hardest problem you have that is the most frustrating?
Well I'm not an expert or anything but I think the most important thing is to have fun :) What I find frustrating is when the nails peel of layers. But I'm kind of lazy when it comes to nail care so I don't really do anything about it lol.
  7. Do you prefer long or short nails?
It varies. When I have long nails I love it! And when I take them down I love that too :P I'm easy to please it seems lol.
  8. What's one nail polish you never get bored of wearing?
Hmm.. Well I don't know if I have a specific one but a red shimmer I guess. Or just shimmers in general. Love me some of those! ;) Or holos. This was a tough question!
  9.  What brand of nail polish do you want to try but haven't gotten the chance to get a bottle or don't want to pay the money for?
I agree with Theodora and say Nfu-Oh! They are gorgeous and omg the bottle. Also I'd like to try some Glitter Gal and Nubar.
  10. How many bottles of nail polish do you have, do you think it's a crazy amount?
146 if I didn't count wrong. Well... It's kind of crazy. It's a lot if you compare it with a non-polish crazy person but little if I compare to other bloggers lol. But I wouldn't buy anything I don't think I'll really like just to have them so I'm okay with it :) (I should be since I have some nail mail on the way lol)
  11. Do you like the nail art with all the rhinestone, pearls and acrylic pieces covering your nails?
Well, I've never done anything like that. But I've had a few of them on. I should do something like that again. I love the look of bullion beads!
And now for Theodoras questions!
  1. What are your other hobbies, besides nail polish and doing your nails?
Yarn! Knitting and crocheting. And I guess WoW is a hobby as well :) I'm gonna learn how to sew as well :)
  2. What is your favorite nail polish color?
I don't know if I have one in particular, but the color I have the most of is blue for some reason :P
  3. What or who started your nail polish addiction/obsession?
    I blame the internet! ;)
  4. What nail polish trend do you love/hate?
Hmm... Well holos have come back and I like that :) One thing I don't like is acrylic french manicures where there's too much white. I'm sorry but I think it looks bad.
  5. Do you also paint the nails of others, like friends/family?
I have done that on occasion but it's not something I do often.
  6. Where do you buy most of your nail polish?
On the internet. Nailsupplies is the one I've bought from the most I think. In a store it's probably H&M.
  7. Stamping or free hand nail art - what's your favorite?
I'm not very good at either but I really should stamp more!
  8. Would you ever give up your entire collection of nail polish?
    Not without a fight lol.
  9. Where would you like to live? And why?
I like living in Sweden :) But if I were to move I guess somewhere a little warmer, since it's pretty cold here sometimes :P
  10. What's your best feature?
I don't know if this is meant to be for my looks or my personality? But I asked the bf for some inspiration and he said that he really likes my hair :) I already kind of answered this question in another tag. But if I go with something from the inside there will be an answer to both perspectives lol. I think the best feature of my personality is that I care about other people.
  11. What's your biggest dream?
To be a social worker (and to have cats some day!). And lucky me I'm on my way there (to being a social worker at least) and if all goes well I'll be done in 1,5 years :) Also, to own all my lemmings lol.
Wow that was a lot to write and figure out! If you read all of this good on ya! And be sure to answer the questions as well if you want to! /end rant ;)

Tired and hair.

My blog is suffering from me being so tired this week. I've changed my mani once this week (zomg!) but I thought I'd share some hair since that was a while. I like hair! 8)

I don't know why I look a bit crazy. Maybe I was pumped up about going to work out :P The hair is a little messy since I had worn it all day but it's a nice do :) If you want to learn how to do it there's always youtube! :)

A french braid on each side of my head and then connected into a single braid. Really comfortable hair style since it keeps all the shorter layers, my former side cut and my "bangs" out of the way! :)

Before I went to Uppsala I wanted to see how long my hair was straightened since my sister was gonna cut it for me. It took me 25-30 minutes and it's not very straight but you can see the length at least :P Oh and ignore the bald spot lol. I only took off about 5 cm so it's still pretty long but looks a lot healthier! :)

I'll have some nails soon and a tag as well :)
