Number 2 in the 14 day challenge is metallic nails. I can't say I was very pleased with these so I'll just have to try harder for the rainbow nails ;)

The greenish color is Depend - 1038. A pretty old one that I got from my sister. It says 06/07 on the bottle so I guess it's from that year. And also it has balls in it which none of my other Depends have. Pretty nice me thinks. The one that looks like copper on my ring finger is Victoria's Secret - Lovelight. Both were two coats.

And then I thought hey, I need to practise my stamping. Which as you can see, I still do lol. Anyways it's stamped with China Glaze - Wagon Trail. I think I might need to get some special stamping polishes and see if that's easier.

With flash so you can see the base colors a bit better.

Today I've been yarn shopping with mah yarn (and polish!) loving friend :) Yey us! I managed to not go completely crazy this time lol. Today is also dance time and after that I might attempt the rainbow nails... Hihi.

Black & white.

So the first post in the 14 Day Challenge ;) is black & white nails.

I decided to do a water marble!

I used China Glaze - Snow and Liquid Leather.

Under that was one coat of H&M - Daisy (very light grey) since I thought that would be more opaque than the white. But ofc it made the white polish look a little grey. Ah well you learn something every time! And the middle finger got messed up when I was going to tape the other hand :/

I think the right hand came out best :)

Next one up is metallic nails! Toodels!

Something different.

I said in a post a few days ago that I was thinking about doing the 31 day challenge. But I wouldn't have time to do all of it, not in 31 days. The reason I've wanted to do it is to "force" myself to try new things. So I cropped the challenge a bit :P

Here's what I'll be doing instead. The 14 day challenge that might take more than 14 days ;P I think it will be a lot of fun! I guess you can figure out that I look forward to the rainbow day the most 8)

So tomorrow will be some black & white nails!

Mismatching hands.

I tried something new for this mani and it's always fun when that turns our pretty nice :) I had to cover up the pink and decided to give a polish a new chance. I didn't like H&M - Moody Model the first time I used it. But it grew a little on me so I think we can be friends now ;)

My left hand got some striping tape which I placed so that the bumps would be covered. I thought it looked cute :) Like a present on my nails 8)

It didn't look streaky IRL but the new lens is quite imba and shows everything :P

Onto the new achievement! My first ruffian :) I thought it turned out really nice since it was my first time and I did it with my non-dominant hand. It was fun having mismatched hands :)

This one's for you boy :*

Time to do some nails! ;) Toodels!

Another pink.

I thought I hadn't had a pink on in a while so I went for that. I haven't worn this one as a full mani or featured it on the blog either so I thought it'd be a good choice.

Two coats of H&M - Pink Mouse. A pretty and bright pink!

The formula was a bit thick. The first coat dried pretty fast but the second one took longer. I had to make some dinner and bumped it before it dried so a cover up tape mani is coming up tomorrow ;)

Sponging and stamping.

Here is what I did with that pretty blue green polish the other day. I wanted to do a gradient. And when that was done I thought I should stamp over it since I never use my plates. I need more practise!

The middle blue is China Glaze - Frostbite and the darkest blue at the tips is MNY - 665. I then stamped over it using m64 and China Glaze - Cherish. Too bad it only looked silver :/

I don't know if I've mentioned that I use my bf's camera for my nail photos. This week he bought a new lens and these were the first nail pics taken with it. It takes some getting used to but I can really zoom in on the nails. Now I have to do them perfectly lol.

With flash. I liked this look and it got some compliments in school as well :) It only lasted a day tho lol. My stamping needs some more practise so I have to remember to do that more often!

I've been thinking about maybe doing the 31 day challenge... I can't finish it in 31 days, especially since Christmas is coming up but it seems like so much fun! Hmm....

An epic project.

Two posts in one day since I wanted to post about my side (yarn) project. It's going to be a quilted comforter. If that's what you call it? Lapptäcke in swedish. I'm gonna knit and crochet squares and then sew them all together and put some fabric on the other side to make it more even. Ah this was hard to describe in english :P I started about 1 week ago and that's when I took this pic. I thought it would be fun to take photos as I go along. Obviously this is going to take a while since I'm gonna make 280 squares and I have other projects that I have to finish before. But I kind of like the idea of a project stretching over a year, or years even :) And I get to use all of my balls of yarn even if I only have a little bit of it left! :)

Two crocheted squares. Oh yeah I forgot to mention... it's gonna be a rainbow quilt.

The bf has actually made two squares since I took this photo, it was super cute! :D Do you like knitting, sewing, crocheting? Tell me! :)

Shimmery blue.

A really short post since I only got one decent photo of this polish.

Two coats of LA Colors - Sea Siren. Application was pretty easy but if I dragged over it too much it could leave some bald spots. A bit weird. But it's a pretty greenish blue with some golden shimmer, which I think is nice for a change :) Altho the shimmer is a bit shy.

Tomorrow will be nail art! :) Toodels!

Purple creme.

The other day I painted my nails with a polish I haven't used in a long time. I got it from my sister a couple of years ago.

One (!) coat of Viva La Diva - 2148.

It was a little bit thick but application was totally okay. And it's really nice with one coaters :) Not much else to say about this one! :P

Orange-(red shimmer).

Here's my very first Sinful Colors. I ordered it from Cherry Culture a couple of weeks ago.

Three coats of Tanji Orange. Application was nice and easy.

I actually did the third coat the day after before taking the photos since there were some wrinkles and tip wear. It looked okay at two coats. A pretty color :)

What are your favorite polishes? As you might have guessed I really like red shimmers lol.

One of those random manis.

The other day I thought I should use my Color Club rainbows and do something rainbowy. I didn't really succeed in the rainbowy stuff but it turned out pretty fun at least.

I started with two coats of Almost Famous, a yellow creme. I think it would be great for summer.

I understand why it's only almost famous.. The formula made me a bit sad. But I guess that's the case with yellows. Btw, anyone know a good shimmery yellow?

Then I just went nuts with my breath and some straws ;P The bf liked this look. I agree, it looks pretty cool :)

I also got my striping tapes this day and had to try 'em on! It was pretty fun :) Altho I don't really like the color scheme, it reminds me of 80's sports wear lol. And also the blue (index) didn't look blue at all over the yellow.

The colors are:
Red - I don't really know since the label was missing :P
Green - Not Just For Kelly
Purple - Disco Dress
Blue - Chelsea Girl
Orange - Koo-Koo Cachoo

Lots of hair.

As I mentioned in my previous post when I study for exams I feel the need to do a lot of other stuff. When you're taking a break you might as well do something useful lol. Besides doing a mani in 3 steps I also did 3 hairstyles on myself lol. It's always good to learn some new things right? ;)

First I did a french braid all the way across my head.

Then I tried doing a crown braid, which wasn't as hard as I had thought :)

And then I did a french braid on both sides and connected them into one braid on the right side of my head. This was a good style for sleeping in and getting curly hair as well 8)

Today I'm going to another city for a dance workshop. I'm a bit nervous but I think it will be fun and I hope I'll learn a lot! :) Toodels!

Taping and sponging.

Of course I couldn't leave that pretty blue alone. I felt like sponging, but also like taping. So I combined the two!

Taped it off not (too carefully :P) and sponged on H&M - 70s Boho and China Glaze - Lighthouse.

Blue and gold is a nice combo I think :)

Buuut... This was a day of studying so I "had" to add something else to it lol.

I used a different shape of tape for this second layer and sponged on some CG - Wagon Trail.

And after a coat of SV I left it alone ;) I really liked this look. I should do it again in some other colors :)
Time for some grocery shopping, yey foods! Toodels!

Blue and minty.

Friday! Yey! And my exam is over, for this time.. It didn't go that well. Ah well. It's still friday ;)

This is two coats of H&M - Peppermint Fushion. A nice muted, kind of washed out, light blue with a little bit of shimmer in it.

A pretty color! I also shaped my nails a bit more. I like it :) Can't be lazy aaall the time ;P

The transformation of Liquid Leather.

I'm taking a study break to post some naiiiilz 8) Aaah, my exam is tomorrow booh. Anyways, this mani started out like this (and stayed on for 4 days, gasp!):

Two coats of China Glaze - Liquid Leather.

There were some wrinkles involved so the next day I added one coat of Kicks - Candy Gal since it's duochromey and nice 8) Purplix!

And then the day after that I felt like playing with tape and added China Glaze - Cherish.

A couple of hours later I added another layer of tape and the sun was out :O

The pink is Color Club - Flamboyant and what looks green is CG - Lighthouse. I liked the ones with Flamboyant better but sometimes you have to try stuff :P Some SV on top now too.

Here are all the polishes used (except base and top coat). I thought they looked cute together :) The tips had 7 layers of polish on them lol.

Study break over!

Random stuff.

Randomness. Why not? I promise there will be nails soon 8)

Hello. Welcome to the family. Even after getting these I still have 3 packages on the way, oops :P
(It's A-England - Tristam and Perceval)

Last week I bought 8 new pairs of stockings.. Yes, I am a bit crazy but I love me a good deal :) I needed some new thicker stockings so score! Too bad the thick ones never come in any bright colors :/

Yesterday we went to a japanese restaurant to celebrate the bf's dad's birthday. I had make up on and everything :O The dress and cardigan are from H&M and stockings from Åhlens (the brown ones in the previous photo).

How pretty is this dress? I would say really reeaally 8)

Sneak peek nail :P

I should really be studying now. This exam business is moving in on me! :P
