Last nails of 2013.

Quick post today. The camera I use for my nail pics wasn't available but since I had actually made some nail art I borrowed the bf's smartphone. So only one pic.

The base is one coat of H&M - Darling Pink with a coat of China Glaze - Fairy Dust on top. The clouds are Sally Hansen - Twisted Pink. And a coat of SV to smooth it out. This was really sparkly IRL :)

For christmas I wore A England - Perceval (is there any polish christmassier? Yes that is a word) and for new years eve I wore A England - Tristam since I forgot to paint my nails and only had time for one coat! Crazy. Here's to more nail art in 2014 :)

Sparkly leopard.

I wanted something colorful and sparkly on my nails. And leopard print is so easy + requires no clean up. Perfect!

 The blue is one coat of Barry M - Cyan Blue. It's such a cheerful color! :) The leopard spots are Color Club - Hot Like Lava and the black is A England - Camelot as usual. And some Seche Vite to smooth it all out.

The pink is a metallic which really made the spots sparkle. Need to make more metallic leopards!

Maybe I should include a pic from further away because that's probably when I think leopard print looks best. Next time!

Leopard rerun kinda.

I was browsing my nail art lable the other day and got in the mood for a neon leopard. It's kind of the only kind I do. If it's not neon it's some other really bright colorful combo. This is like the non identical twin of this mani.

 The base is two coats of China Glaze - Surfin' For Boys (which doesn't match my skin color and makes it perfect for covering :P). The spots are China Glaze - Stella and the black is A England - Camelot. And some SV to smooth it out.

Macro shimmer!

I don't really buy polish that much anymore but if I place an order it will contain some more polishes from this collection. Drool!

Summer nails.

I had the weekend off, and with my work schedule that was almost 4 days off. I painted my nails.. once. But hey, it's something at least! I've been neglecting my blog a lot. I wish it was because I've been super busy doing stuff but mostly it's been work or being tired after work.. It'll get better when I go to Iceland :)

 It's kind of weird picking what you wanna wear after two weeks of naked nails. Pressure! I went for holo since it was sunny :)

The insanely holo pink is three coats of Make Up Store - Britta (super pretty and with a name that is special to me :)) and on the thumb is also A England - Ascalon. The ring finger is two-three coats of Milani - Digital and the darker pink is China Glaze - 108 Degrees.

Also, I can't wait to get happier cuticles! :p

First Mate times two.

Here are two tape manis I did with the same polish. It's fun to mix and try different combos. Depending on the base color the result can look very different :)

Here's another loud one. The base is two coats of China Glaze - Surfin' for Boys. Then I added hole reinforcers and China Glaze - First Mate.

This is two coats of Color Club - Emerald Depths (lurve it), hole reinforcers and First Mate + SV. I really liked this one :)

First Mate is great for tape manis \o/

Two coats of China Glaze - Hang-Ten Toes, spots with China Glaze - Stella and black outlining with A England - Camelot + SV.

Look at that pretty shimmer x 2 :) Neon shimmer ftw!

Here's a mani from last year.

The pink is three coats of Wet'n'Wild - Hannah Pinktana. I then added striping tape since it's easier to stick to the nail and painted on A England - Saint George + SV. I don't really know what I think about this mani. I didn't wear it long enough to make up my mind :P

Here's Hannah Pinktana on its own. The color is in between Milani - Hi-Res and Milani - Digital. It's a pretty pink scattered holo.

Sparkly Sparkling.

Here's another polish from our Scotland trip this summer.

This is three-ish coats of Revlon - Sparkling over Color Club - Sweetpea + SV. This glitter is fun, altho bigger glitter is harder to remove, at least for me. But since there's not a whole lot of them it was fine :)

 It's a fun way to spice up a plain creme polish :)

Here's the other Color Club I bought recently.

This is three coats of Color Club - Sweetpea. It looks a bit streaky this close but for IRL purposes (heh) it was fine. You know how it is with cremes (that's why I'm a shimmer-lovah!) ;) Also, this is a sun pic (zomg!).

Feels like forever since I made a DIY-post but christmas is approaching and the stuff I finish won't be showable until after presents are opened ;) I've actually been a one-project-gal for a really long time now :O I usually switch from project to project and nothing is finished :P Well I have to make fun gifts for my family so that's making me more focused :)

Pink shimmer.

This is two coats of Misa - Rakin' In The Dough. This is what I like to call a macro polish, it's pretty when you look really close since it does have a really nice shimmer to it. But from afar it's too normal :P Also, in low light it looks less vibrant. Ah well!

I've been on a sponging kick lately :)

 This is two coats of Milani - Digital and then I sponged that one + China Glaze - Ahoy! on top. + SV. The gradient effect was more visible IRL.

Here's a polish I got in Scotland. My first Models Own, bought at Boots.

This is one coat (I think) of Models Own - Indian Ocean over one coat of H&M - Miss Stone Heart (loveonecoatersforevah). The color is a bit hard to describe. Greyish base with a pink flash?

The pink flash was more visible IRL. Lookit the bottle! Purdy.

Holo glass fleck.

Since I like rhinestones and tape... Well you all know the rest by now...

Base color: (and a better pic of) China Glaze - Ahoy!. A really pretty glass fleck. It's pretty similar to OPI - The Color Of Minnie. Which is nice since I only have that one in a mini bottle :)

I added tape, a pink rhinestone, A England - Ascalon + SV. I've used my A Englands a lot lately. But they're so darn nice! :> I thought this mani was pretty but I liked the first one a little more.

Stripes on holo.

After a few days wear I wanted to add something and hide the scruffy tips ;)

Striping tape and one coat of China Glaze - Wagon Trail over Depend - 2030 + SV. Holo and shimmer, and two pretty colors :)

In the sun. That's shown itself here this week. Awesome!

This was the last Depend holo to be swatched.

This is two coats of Depend - 2030 Plum over one coat of Color Club - Hot Like Lava. This turned out way pink... Next time I'll layer it over A England - Princess Tears. I want to preserve as much as I can from these tiny bottles... Sunlight.

Not very color accurate but you can see there is lots of rainbows at least :) What more could you want? ;)

Minnie skittles.

I got another gift from abroad from G. And they're also my first OPI's (except for base and top coat).

I got a mini set with three colors and a quick drying top coat. Since the bottles are small I thought skittles would be perfect! The pink (on thumb and ring) is OPI - If You Moust You Moust, the pink shimmer (glass fleck?) (on index and pinkie) is I'm All Ears and the red (on middle) is The Color Of Minnie. It's red with pink shimmer. Red + shimmer, obviously it was my fav... ;) The pink was a bit streaky, otherwise they applied nicely.

Maybe I should wear skittles more often. It looks fun :)

Pink holo.

The other day I tried out another one of the Depend holos. Since holos usually need 2-3 coats (the blue one could've had three instead of the two I gave it) and the bottles are so tiny and expensive I wanted to find a good underwear polish for it.

Sunlight. This is one coat of Depend - 2027 Raspberry over one coat of Color Club - Hot Like Lava

Which turned out to be a perfect match :)

 And here's what it looks like in the shade. It's not as holographic as the blue I showed you earlier but I'm still happy I got it :) It does have rainbows and a pretty sparkle!

Today me and the bf are going to a thrift store and then a farmers market that's in town for a day :)

Sometimes you have the energy to do a proper tape mani. And it feels good! ;P Even when it bleeds a little and what not.

I already had on A England - Bridal Veil. Taped it off and added a coat of Color Club - Hot Like Lava. SV and then more tape and a coat of China Glaze - Rodeo Fanatic (we still in love you know). + SV! Sunlight!

I bought this polish a while ago and when I used it for a tape mani I suspected it might be the one. As in the one to replace this one that I don't have that much left of. I don't think they're total dupes (the other is more silvery) but they're close enough for me :)
