Grey & flowers.

I've been thinking I should wear/swatch all my polishes. Like for a full mani. Since I don't have an unreasonable amount of them it should be doable :P I thought I could start brandwise and in the top drawer of my Helmer. So Depend is first. And also here's day 8 in the kind of forgotten 14 day challenge :P

Two coats of Depend - 206. A pretty dark grey.

Flowers. Also with Depends. Silver is 223 and the blue is 228.

I had this on for about 30 minutes and then it was laundry time :P The flowers take some time to dry... But it was pretty cute while it lasted.

On a different note. I ordered some stuff from Beautyjoint. 7 items and only 2 were nail polish :O 4 of them were lipsticks. Weird. But fun :) I wore one of them for New Years Eve.

It's Nyx Matte Lipstick in Bloody Mary. I also bought 3 of the Nyx Round Lipsticks. Hoho.

Space nails and guest NOTDs.

I used 7 or 8 polishes for this mani :p

Sadly I don't really think the photos do the mani justice :( It looks better IRL.

In sunlight.

When my bf saw me watching the tutorial he got interested in another of her tutorials. The newspapery one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kcdt4_5Ncc&feature=relmfu And then he said he wanted to try it on my toes. Free pedi, why not? ;)

Ofc I had to choose these cool ladies. I only did a little clean up. Didn't he do a good job? :)

And then all hell broke loose because we were bored so the bf and the roomie painted their nails. The bf wanted to try some advanced tape mani. The roomie wore CG - Sun Worshipper with SOPI - Note To Self. It sure was a fun evening 8) A lot of giggles!

I made them pose in a nerdy way. Haha. The purple on her fingers is from our Dip In-remover that's getting a bit full :P

Also, from now on he has to cut my tape strips. Look how thin they are :O

Since I already spammed a bunch of pix I might as well have one more. I actually wore make up yesterday. Since I learned the tape thing it's fun :) Now I can make straight lines, yey ;D

Today we're going to some friends to eat crayfish. Totally swedish you know. The bf made a pie and I've baked some bread. It will be delish I'm sure.

A fail and a win.

When I got back from Turkey I was itching for something new and non-chipped on my nails. I decided to try H&Ms Moody Model since I hadn't used it yet. Sadly I didn't really like it. I thought the application was a bit weird (maybe I was a little bit rusty since I hadn't painted my nails in a week but aaaanywho...). The first layer was a bit streaky and transparent. I did two coats. SV leveled it out but I decided to tape it out a bit with China Glaze Cherish. I didn't do any clean up or anything because it didn't stay on long. Anyways here it is.

So the next day we were going out with some friends and I was going to repaint them. My outfit was all black which is really weird for me (hello, I like rainbows) and I thought I should have a bright color on my nails at least. But when I chose I went for another dark greenish polish. MNY 761 that I got from my roomie :) I really liked it!

This is two coats with SV. It went on really easy (no clean up this time either) :) A nice dark shimmery green.

Also, thanks to Honi and this tutorial http://honi.blogg.se/2011/august/tutorial-pretty-reckless.html I had make up on that I really liked! :) It was an easy way for a make up noob like myself to get a look that wasn't just some eye shadow on the lid and mascara. Yey! I will probably do it again and again :)

From a distance it looked like I had fake lashes, pretty cool. Ignore my clumsy lashes tho, haha.

Now I'm going to remove this polish and try something else :)
