Let's see if I still remember how to do this... :P Here's a swatch and some easy peasy nail art!

 This is two coats of No 7 - Cruising. Easy application and drying time was pretty fast. I like the brush, made the polishing easy. I got this polish as a gift from G, first from this brand :) It's a lot darker IRL tho, these kinds of shades are hard to photograph...

Then I was like "wazzup A England??" and added hole reinforcers and Bridal Veil.

I'm a bit rusty at this non-scenic-awesome-icelandic-nature-photographing. I'll have to practise with more nails soon!

Smoothies part 5.

I need to take some pics of what I've been making with my hands since I got back from Iceland. I also got some new no poo-stories to tell! But until I do that here's another smoothie. It's a good one!

This one is bananas, fresh dates, dark chocolate, milk and some ice. Yum! Here I just put the chocolate in in pieces but since then I've started grating it in since it's easier to blend that way. Also, you don't need a lot of chocolate. When I make enough just for myself I grate one of those chocolate pieces.

Here I made enough for me and the bf :) Also, sometimes I put some ginger in there for a bit of a flavor punch. Which is good since ginger is super healthy!

I drink these for breakfast but it would also make a nice dessert or snack :)

I'm home again from Iceland. After delays and stuff I finally came home last thursday. I've had an awesome time! I hope I can return soon. Need to practise my icelandic and what not :) I didn't knit or crochet anything while in Iceland so it was nice getting my hands on some yarn and needles again. I bought lopi for a sweater there and when I find a pattern I like I'll get right to it! I'll probably do my nails every once in a while too, although I suspect not as much as I once did.

Since I don't like pic less posts here's one from Iceland. We took a boat trip to the island Vigur. It was a lovely day as you can see :)

First week of school.

School has started and it is fun! On monday we had an ice breaker, just some information and fika. On tuesday we started classes. We had morning class and then a city walk to get to know the village. After that we had choir which was super fun! :D

I've also been out with one of my cousins and the day after we went to see the Swamp Soccer (Myrarboltinn). Totally crazy. But cool. Kinda reminds me of Brännbollsyran because the teamplayers were often in funny costumes.

My first icelandic purchase, in Reykjavik. I've yet to visit the yarn shop here in Isafjördur :) I'm also gonna buy a lopapeysa.

 We also watched a movie yesterday at the school. Börn nátturunar. It was a good movie but a bit sad. My days will be pretty packed. We have two electives most of the days. Once a week is choir, and twice a week there's a movie. So I'm gonna learn a lot. Also, it's pretty good finally being able to understand what people are saying since my icelandic dad forbade all my relatives from speaking english with me... Phooo. I am currently very good at the language swicelandic. Too bad it's not a real language! ;) I am getting tho how similar swedish and icelandic is and how much easier it is for me than for example for the students from the US. Also, it seems I am the only swede (in the village he he) in my course.

My uncle and aunt are taking really good care of me. I've already had lamb steak and boiled fish, egg and potatoes with melted butter. Yum! I shall have to make them a fancy dish soon! Also, I must go to the hardfiskur store really soon. I need a harfo fix lol.

I also took a little walk around Isafjördur on monday before the ice breaker and bought a drinking skyr at the super market. It was pretty good. I kinda feel I wanna try as many different icelandic things as possible :P

I'll try and get another update later in the week. Just wanted to let everyone know I'm fine and having a lot of fun! I hope all is well in the land of the swedes.

I've had 2 busy days here in Iceland. Lots of good food and friendly relatives. I feel like we've been here for a week when I think about how much we've done already. Today I'm going west (gooo weeeeest, just had to) with a domestic flight. I'm gonna stay at my aunt's house during the three week course in icelandic language (mál) and culture (menning). Here's some culture for ya!

Skyr, kind of like icelandic yoghurt. Also, look at my new all fair trade arm candy. Luuurve it!

Being from Sweden I've found all these ridiculously big cars very funny. There are lots of SUVs here. Lots. And bigger than this one. A lot of people use them for cruising in the rough nature.

Breakfast of champions, harðfiskur (dried fish). I'm going to eat so much harfo this month!!11

Also, we've had excellent weather. Sunny and not very windy :)

Just wanted to let you know that our trip went smoothly and we've had a busy and fun day in Hafnarfjördur (yes I am to lazy to switch to icelandic on mah comp). Anyways. I'll post pics soon!
